Obituary

Allen Birmingham, age 80, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 2:00pm at Sulligent First Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in Prospect Cemetery.  Bro. Jeremy Hollis and Bro. Edward Puckett to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the church prior to the funeral services from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Allen was born on March 23, 1945 in Sulligent, AL to the late John Clifton Birmingham and the late Willie "Madge" Otts Birmingham.  He was a 1963 graduate of Sulligent High School.  Allen retired from NACCO after 38 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed being outdoors, going fishing, and was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan.  He had a fondness for classic cars and he especially loved his 1977 Chevy Nova. Allen was known to be an honorable and faithful man, effortlessly committed to his church and his family.  His loving heart and kind spirit will always be cherished and truly missed by all who loved and knew him.  He was a member of Sulligent First Freewill Baptist Church.
