Barbara Ann Reeves, age 87, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025 at Generations of Vernon in Vernon, AL.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 2:00pm at Sulligent First Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Sulligent City Cemetery.  Bro. Steven Sanderson and Bro. Jeff Chaffin to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the church prior to the funeral service from 12:30pm until 2:00pm.

Barbara was born on February 28, 1937 in Lamar County, AL to the late Aubrey Taft McCarley and Lona Seals McCarley.  She was a 1954 graduate of Sulligent High School and later graduated from Banking School in Mobile, AL.  Barbara retired after 39 years of dedicated service from First National Bank, also being the City President.  She was very actively involved in her community and church, serving on numerous boards and committees, such as the Stewardship Committee, Library Board, C-3 Committee, Sulligent Civic Club, and previously with the Chamber of Commerce.  Barbara liked to read and make Christmas ornaments, but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren which she adored.  Her loving memory will always be cherished and greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.  Barbara was a member of Sulligent First Baptist Church in Sulligent, AL.
