Betty Jo McCracken, age 85, of Detroit, AL, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 2:00pm at Detroit Church of Christ with burial to follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00pm until service time at 2:00pm.  Bro. Ricky McGee and Bro. Rodney Devorick to officiate. Visitation will be held at Otts Funeral Home on Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Betty was born on April 26, 1935 in Lamar County, AL to the late Clevis Edgeworth and the late Ollie Vaudeen Poore.  She was a 1953 graduate of Hamilton High School.  Betty previously worked at Detroit Slacks and as a childcare provider.  She enjoyed reading, going to the library, family history, gardening, and watching Perry Mason shows.  Betty was a member of Detroit Church of Christ.

Granddaughters: Brandi Hollis and Josy (Xavier) Chaney

Special Grandson: Casey (Brittney) Hollis
