Billie Jo Pennington Wright, age 80, of Vernon, AL, passed into eternal rest on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Arabella Wellness and Healthcare in Vernon, AL.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Wofford Cemetery.  Bro. Reed Eaves and Bro. Will Benefield to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 6:00pm until 7:00pm.

Billie Jo was born on December 16, 1945 in Vernon, AL to the late Charles Pennington and the late Mary Lacy.  She obtained her GED through Bevill State Community College.  She worked in the textile industry, food industry, and as a security guard.  She also obtained her CDL's and was a truck driver.  Some of her coworkers referred to her as Aunt Bea, because she was going to make sure you had enough to eat if she was serving you.  Those who know her can tell you "what a mess" she was.  She would definitely leave you laughing with her wit and charm and always said what was on her mind.  She enjoyed going to yard sales and finding "treasures" as do all four of her children.  Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and she often bragged on one or another of them.

She leaves to cherish her memory the following:
