OBITUARY

Billy Carl Eastman, age 82, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 2:00pm at Sulligent First Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Sulligent City Cemetery.  Bro. Steven Sanderson to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the church prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Billy Carl was born March 16, 1943 in Lamar County, AL to the late Arlie Eastman and the late Freddie Mae Stanford Eastman Robinson. He was a 1962 graduate of Sulligent High School, where he served as Student Council President and was very active in sports, especially playing football. Billy Carl later attended the University of Alabama and married his high school sweetheart, Syliva Robertson, January 26, 1964. He previously worked for Robertson Bros. construction and later owned and operated Eastman Crane Service and Eastman Cabinet Shop. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially going fishing, golfing, and mud racing. Billy Carl and Sylvia also enjoyed traveling and camping and toured each of the contiguous United States in their motor home upon retirement. He was a very proud Mason, faithful friend, and loved serving his community. His humble and kind heart will always be cherished and greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.  Billy Carl was a member of Sulligent First Baptist Church.
