Billy Ray Loftis, age 72, of Sulligent, AL passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Park Manor Health and Rehabilitation in Northport, AL.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Gilmer Addition of Sulligent City Cemetery.  Elder Don Loftis to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Billy was born on July 29, 1949 in Lamar County, AL to the late Osie J. Loftis, Sr. and the late Sallie Will Perkins.  He was a graduate of Manuel High School in Denver, CO.  Billy served in the U.S. Marine Corp.  He was an avid reader.  Billy was a member of Sulligent Church of God in Christ.
