Brenda Blaylock Marcum, age 63, of Sulligent, AL passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022 at her residence.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 2pm, from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Bro. Phillip Blaylock to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 12:00pm, until service time at 2:00pm.

Brenda Sue Blaylock Marcum was born on August 4, 1959, in Moline, IL, to the late LA Blaylock and the late Ruby Tucker Blaylock. She held a degree in accounting and worked most of her life as a caregiver for Mental Health. She attended the People's Tabernacle Church in Sulligent, AL. Brenda enjoyed shopping at Wal-Mart and a good yard sale. She loved playing cards and board games. Brenda enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel, and was especially fond of Hallmark Christmas movies. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, and they with her. Her favorite words to them were, laughingly, "suck it up buttercup", but they believe she deserves "The mother of the year award". Brenda was loved and adored by many and will be greatly missed.
