Brenda Johnson, age 74, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Friday, June28, 2024 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo, MS.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 11:00am from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Liberty Cemetery, near Detroit, AL.  Bro. Jeff Chaffin to officiate.

Brenda was born on June 25, 1950 in Lamar County, AL to the late Robert Johnson and the late Mamie Harris Johnson.  She was a 1968 graduate of Sulligent High School and later pursued a college degree from the ICC Nursing Program in Fulton, MS.  She previously worked for Dr. V.C Box at Sulligent Clinic, Lamar Convalescent Center, Lamar Co. General Hospital, and finally, Alabama Department of Public Health, which she retired from.  Brenda enjoyed making crafts and photography.  She also liked the outdoors, especially gardening and doing yard work.  She was a member of Beaverton Freewill Baptist Church.  Brenda loved her family dearly and her beautiful spirit and compassionate heart will truly be missed by all who loved and knew her.
