Carol Ann McDaniel Briggs age 71 passed away peacefully at home early Friday morning June 24, 2022. She had battled numerous medical  ailments for the last thirty years. She fought so hard to stay here with her family who were the light of her life. She was mean as a snake on one hand and had a heart of gold on the other.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents Loman Edgar McDaniel and Virginia Nell Woods, her older sister Linda Fay McDaniel Freeman and a brother in law Albert Hardcastle and her mother and father in law Robert and Bernice Briggs.

She left behind her husband of 51 years Robert Bruce Briggs who had devoted the last several years to giving her the best care possible, her only child Bobbi Jo Briggs Roberts and son in love Terry Roberts. The extra lights in her life her GRANDchildren Briggs Michael Roberts and wife Anna Kay of Huntsville, Alabama and Kinsley Patton Roberts Blaylock and husband Luke of Greenwood Springs, Mississippi, her GREAT GRANDS Archer Noble Roberts and she was anxiously awaiting the arrival of Emersyn Patton Blaylock due in August. She also leaves behind her baby brother Larry McDaniel from Oklahoma and her Sister in Love Melba Hardcastle from Illinois and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Carol was an awesome cook, loved her cigarettes and Dr. Pepper, Facebook, (which was the only way she was able to keep in touch with friends over the last few years) loved a good laugh and laughed her way through almost any situation good or bad. She was the Queen of corny jokes and enjoyed passing them on to friends and family. She and her sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Carol chose to have her remains cremated and no memorial services as her last wishes.
