Clinton L. Bankhead age 78, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023 at Generations of Vernon, Vernon, AL. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Brown Cemetery.  Pastor Steve Gunter to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Clinton was born on June 7, 1945 in Lamar County, AL to the late Teed Bankhead and the late Lauberta Hollis Bankhead.  He attended Sulligent Elementary School.  Clinton worked at a carwash in Gary, Indiana.  He loved playing sports, especially baseball and basketball.  Clinton also enjoyed going horseback riding and fishing.  He was a member of Powell Chapel CME.
