Collis "Sonny" Hackman, age 85, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, AL.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 1:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services and burial to follow in Furnace Hill Cemetery.  Bro. William Sparks to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 12:00pm until 1:00pm.

Sonny was born on August 15, 1939 in Lamar County, AL to the late Ervin Hackman and the late Lucille Gunter Hackman.  He attended Lamar County Training School.  He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting.  Sonny also liked doing sawmill work and mowing yards.  He was a member of St. James Baptist Church.  His loving memory will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
