OBITUARY

Dana Nichole Guthery, age 43, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 1:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Lann Cemetery in Splunge, MS.  Bro. Roy McHenry to officiate.  Visitation will be held in the Otts Funeral Home Parlor prior to the funeral service from 11:00am until 1:00pm.

Dana was born on May 6, 1980 in Amory, MS to Joey Guthery and Regena Pitts Guthery.  She was a 1998 graduate of Sulligent High School and later earned her Associate's Degree from Bevill State Community College in Fayette, AL.  Dana was employed with GCM Insurance Agency in Columbus, MS.  She was a huge animal lover, especially dogs, and thoroughly enjoyed working with animal rescues and the fostering of dogs.  Dana had such a loving and caring spirit and was the caregiver to all of her family.  She had a passion for serving others, which was evident in her fondness for missionary work at Shiloh Baptist, her home church.  She loved her family dearly, especially her nephews which she endearingly called, "Her Boys".  Her beautiful smile and tender heart will forever be cherished and greatly missed.
