Danny Ray Sorrells, age 66, of Vernon, AL passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 11:00am from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Hollis Cemetery in Beaverton, AL.  Bro. James Godsey to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Danny was born on December 16, 1955 in Amory, MS to the late Asbury Sorrells and the late Romey Gertrude Smith.  He attended Lamar County High School.  Danny was the owner and operator of S&D Trucking, LLC, and previously worked in the garment plant as a sewing machine mechanic.  He enjoyed fishing, golf, and electronics.
