Alan Weeks, age 65, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 4, 2023 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Sulligent City Cemetery.  Bro. Jeff Chaffin to officiate.  Visitation will be held at Otts Funeral Home on Sunday, September 3, 2023 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Alan was born on October 29, 1957 in Florence, AL to the late Robert L. "Bob" Weeks, Jr. and Shirley Jean Stokes Weeks.  He was a 1976 graduate of Sulligent High School.  He retired from his career at Hyster after 43 years.  Alan loved the outdoors, especially getting to go camping, hunting and fishing.  He enjoyed his time coaching and mentoring children in Dixie Youth Baseball and was a previous Director of Sulligent City Park.  Alan was very family oriented and loved spending any time he could with them making memories.  He was a member of Sulligent First Baptist Church.  His kind and humble presence will forever be missed in our community.
