Debra was born on February 18, 1954 in Vernon, AL to the late Roy Thomas Weeks and the late Wilma "Jean" Weeks.  She attended Smithville High School in Smithville, MS.  She initially worked for several years as a seamstress in Mississippi and Alabama, and later as a cosmetologist in Florida and Virginia.  She was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church in Winfield, AL.

Debra was a miraculous birth—born 3 months early and weighing only 2 ½ pounds).  She was an exuberant Daughter, nurturing Mother, and doting Grandmother.  She met the love of her life at Monroe Trouser in Smithville, MS, and eloped--with her Mother's blessing--on September 4, 1971, at the age of 17.  Debra served our country as an Air Force spouse for over 20 years.  She survived periodic separations (even during the birth of her son), maintained the home front, and inspired her husband to greater success in service to our country.
