Dennis Gilliam, age 60, of Vernon, AL, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at St. Vincent's East in Birmingham, AL.  Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel.  Bro. Phillip Sloan to officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the memorial service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Dennis was born on April 5, 1963 in Fayette, AL to Cecil Lee Gilliam and Peggy Annette Pennington Gilliam.  He was a 1980 graduate of Lamar County High School. Dennis was a welder at Marathon and previously worked as a truck driver for Vernon Milling traveling coast to coast.  He was excellent at flooring and was a very skilled stone mason and carpenter.  Dennis enjoyed fishing, golf, and hunting and was an avid Auburn fan.  He loved his family dearly and his precious memory will always be cherished and greatly missed.

Sister: Ashley Young Jennings, Huntsville, AL

Grandchildren: Lily King and Blayde Edmondson
