Derrick Thompson, age 47, of Hamilton, AL passed away Monday, October 7, 2019 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 1:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Allman Cemetery.  Elder Steve Gunter to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 12:00pm until 1:00pm.

Derrick was born on January 21, 1972 in Amory, MS to the late R.L. Latham and the late Dottie Thompson.  He was a 1991 graduate of Sulligent High School and later graduated from Bevill State Community College in Hamilton, AL, majoring in Cosmetology and Barbering.  Derrick owned Derrick's Images in Hamilton, AL.  He enjoyed dancing and fishing.
