Dezzie Lee McKinney - Hollis

Dezzie Hollis, age 93, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025 at UAB Medical West in Bessemer, AL.  Graveside services and burial will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 11:30am in the McKinney Family Cemetery in Sulligent, AL.  Bro. Willie Joe Hollis to officiate.

Ms. Dezzie was born on January 15, 1932 in Sulligent, AL to the late Fred and Hattie McKinney.  She was the wife of the late Gladie G. Hollis of Sulligent, AL.  She previously worked as a beautician.  Dezzie was a very proud and dedicated member of her church, Rising Star Missionary Baptist, where she faithfully served as Deaconess, sang in the choir and as a church missionary and Mother of the Church.  She enjoyed working with arts and crafts and loved to cook for her friends and family.  Family meant everything to her and her kind and joyful spirit and loving heart will always be cherished and greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
