Dirreck Jermaine Smith, age 52, of Waterloo, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 1:00pm at Turkey Creek Church of God with burial to follow in Redus Cemetery.  Bishop Willie Joe Hollis to officiate. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the funeral service from 12:00pm until 1:00pm.

Dirreck was born on January 4, 1973 in Guin, Alabama to the late James Otis Lindsey and the late Betty Sue Smith.  He attended Sulligent High School.  Dirreck lived several years in Milwaukee, WI and more recently in Waterloo, IA.  He worked as a stock clerk at a Dollar General in Waterloo.  His gentle spirit and kind heart will always be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
