Obituary

Douglas "Zeke" Noland, age 57, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at his residence.  Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 2:00pm in the Gilmer Addition of Sulligent City Cemetery. Pastor Jeremy Brock to officiate.

Doug was born on July 16, 1966 in Winfield, AL to the late Isiah Noland and the late Annie Pennington Noland.  He was a 1984 graduate of Sulligent High School.  Doug previously worked at Marathon and Bol-Zoni, which he retired from after 30years.  He was also employed with the Sulligent Police Department after graduating from the University of Alabama Police Academy in Tuscaloosa, AL.  He faithfully served SPD for over 29 years.  He was an avid Auburn fan and loved music and motorcycles.  Doug was a member of St. James Baptist Church.  His dedicated service and love for the community will always be remembered and greatly missed by all who knew him.
