Douglas Ray Phelps, age 67, of Columbus, MS, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at his residence.  Burial was held on Friday, October 18, 2024 in the Gilmer Addition of Sulligent City Cemetery.

Douglas was born on January 15, 1957 in Columbus, MS to the late L.J. Phelps and the late Katherine Phelps.  He previously was employed at an Iron Works Co. and also worked as a carpenter and installed swimming pools.  Douglas liked collecting antiques, especially items like old money and tools.  He was a true Southern Picker.  His loving spirit will always be remembered and greatly missed.
