Earl Ray McBroom, age 77, of Detroit, AL passed away at his home on July 5, 2022 following a short battle with dementia. The family will hold a Celebration of Life Service to be announced at a later date.

Earl was born in Winston County, AL on December 5, 1944 to Clifford and Rachel McBroom.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Wallace McBroom and Rachel Wilkinson McBroom, his brother, Roy Dale "Buddy" McBroom, and his wife, Carol McBroom.

He is survived by his children, Savannah McClain (Will) of Detroit, Logan McBroom (Amanda) of Plainview, Arkansas, Katie Smith (Jacob) of Guntersville, AL, and Vanessa Trull (Hokie) of Kennedy, AL; his grandchildren Luke Trull, Lake Trull, Shiloh McLeod, Kinlyn Smith, Jared McClain, Bryson McClain, and Rowan McBroom; a sister, Linda Real, of Detroit, and a brother, Robert "Bob" McBroom (Pat) of Fairhope, Al; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and loved ones.
