Eddie Noel Ives, age 67, of Vernon, AL, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Baptist Golden Triangle Medical Center, Columbus, MS.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Gilmer Addition of Sulligent City Cemetery.  Bro. Jason Ives and Bro. Jason Clifton to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Eddie Noel Ives was born on October 10, 1955 in Sulligent, AL to the late William Junior Ives and the late Evie Humbers. He was married to his sweetheart of 48 years, Donna Lynn White, since the tender age of 18 and her at the age of 16. Together they had 3 children and 3 grandchildren whom they loved and adored. Eddie attended Sulligent Community Church. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, watching westerns, and loved to play corn hole. Eddie had the biggest heart, the brightest smile, and gave the best hugs and words of encouragement. He was a humble man, a very hard worker, and would give you the shirt off of his back, if he knew you needed it. Eddie loved people and loved his family dearly, but his greatest love, was his love for the Lord. He never missed an opportunity, with tears streaming down his face, to stop and share the goodness of God with others. Eddie was loving, kind, and encouraging to all he encountered. He was a friend to all. Eddie Noel Ives impacted many many lives, just by being the humble, Godly, simple man he was. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning. ~ Psalms 30:5~
