Ellen Marqueta Truelove, age 63, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at NMMC in Tupelo, MS.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 1:00pm at New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ with graveside services and burial to follow in the Gilmer Addition of Sulligent City Cemetery.  Supt. Murry R. Johnson to officiate. Visitation will be held at the church from 12:00pm until 1:00pm.

Ellen was born on May 5, 1960 in Vernon, AL to the late Goldie Lee Metcalfe and Perline Thompson Metcalfe.  She was a 1978 graduate of Sulligent High School.  Ellen retired from Fayette Medical Center DCH after 20 years of dedicated service.  She enjoyed baking cakes, cooking for her family and participating in church functions.  Ellen was a true joy to be around, always smiling and willing to help anyone.  Her compassionate heart and faithful spirit will always be cherished and greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.  She was a member of New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ.
