Eugene Hayes, age 59, of Detroit, AL, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 10:00am from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Liberty Cemetery in Detroit, AL.  Bro. B.J. Mills to officiate.  Visitation will be held in the Otts Funeral Home Parlor on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Eugene was born on February 3, 1964 in Florida to the late Hobby Hayes and the late Bessie Loggins Hayes.  He attended Hamilton High School.  Eugene previously worked in farming which he enjoyed very much.  He later began a career as a truck driver for mobile home companies.  Eugene loved spending time with his family and his memory will always be cherished.
