Gladys Mae Hollis, age 90, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Generations of Vernon in Vernon, AL. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 1:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Gilmore Addition of Sulligent City Cemetery. Rev. Donny Smith and Bishop Andre Evans to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 12:00pm until 1:00pm.

Ms. Gladys was born on December 19, 1932 in Lamar County, AL to the late James Frank Johnson and the late Evie Victoria Hollis. She was married to the late George Hollis. Ms. Gladys graduated from Todd Training School with the class of 1951. She worked from a young age doing several jobs in Sulligent from Jumper's Chicken Poultry, as a cook for various restaurants, to a housekeeper for the Glenn's. She enjoyed fishing and talking on the phone with friends and relatives.
The family wants to thank everyone for the participation in the celebration of Gladys's life. The outpouring from the community, family and friends was remarkable, to which we can never repay.
