Gloria Shinn, age 41, of Caledonia, MS, formerly of Lamar County, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus, MS.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 1:00pm from the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, Hamilton, MS, the body will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 12:00pm until service time at 1:00pm graveside services to follow in the Willis Cemetery, Hamilton, MS. Visitation for Mrs. Shinn will be held at Otts Funeral Home on Friday, December 13,2024 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm. Pastor David O. Williams to officiate the services.

Gloria was born on April 8, 1983 in Fayette, AL to Murphy Gardner and Debra Shelly.  She was a 2001 graduate of Lamar County High School and a 2002 graduate of Job Corp in Montgomery, AL as a CNA.  Gloria was employed at SDR in Millport, AL and worked as a CNA.  She enjoyed doing hair for herself and her daughter and liked cooking.  Gloria loved her family and was an all around good wife, mother, sister, and daughter.  Her bright and loving spirit will always be cherished and greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.  Gloria was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church in Hamilton, MS.
