Mr. G.W. (Junior) Ray, age 95, of Sulligent, AL, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Sulligent City Cemetery.  Bro. Mitch Nethery to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.  Funeral services will be live streamed on Otts Funeral Home Facebook page beginning at 2:00pm.

Junior was born on November 1, 1924 in Detroit, AL to the late George Woodie Ray, Sr. and the late Madgie Murray.  He attended Byrd Schools and Memphis Cotton School in Memphis, TN.  Junior was Co-Owner of Hamilton Cotton Gin along with his brothers, Lyman and James Ray.  He also owned and operated Ray's Store in the early 50's in Vernon, AL.  Junior later owned and operated Ray's Store in Sulligent until retirement.  Junior enjoyed farming.  He was a member of Sulligent United Methodist Church.
