Helen Ruth Barham, age 86, of Fayette, AL, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026 at her residence.   Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Furnace Hill Cemetery.  Bro. Randy Burbank and Bro. Greg Durr to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Helen was born on September 12, 1939 in Gattman, MS to the late Lois Pershing Cantrell and the late Fannie Lou Morris Cantrell.  She was a 1957 graduate of Lucy Fowler Tech in Chicago, IL.  Helen previously worked at Reltoc.  She was a very active and faithful member of Mt. Vernon Methodist Church.  Helen liked to sew and loved being outdoors working in her garden and gathering flowers.  She was a great cook and enjoyed making meals for her family.  Helen was also an avid Alabama football fan and was known to fuss with the officials quite often.  Her family meant everything to her and she treasured all the memories with her precious grandbabies.  Her tender, loving spirit and unconditional love for her family will always be cherished.
