Henry G. Allen, age 73, of Vernon, AL, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with Graveside Military Honors and burial to follow in Friendship South Cemetery.  Bro. James Godsey to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Henry was born on March 15, 1950 in Vernon, AL to the late Grover Allen and the late Marie Humphreys Allen.  He was a 1968 graduate of Lamar County High School.  Henry previously worked at McCoy Manufacturing and Generations of Vernon.  He honorably served in the US Army and retired from the AL Army National Guard.  He enjoyed visiting with friends and drinking coffee.  He was also known to be an avid Alabama football fan.  His loving memory will always be cherished and greatly missed.
