Herbert June Smith, age 61, of Fayette, AL passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019 in Fayette, AL.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. from the New Friendship Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the New Friendship Cemetery, Rev. Charlie Humphrey to officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m.

Herbert was born on May 22, 1958, in Fayette County, Alabama, to the late James E. Smith and the late Merlene Franks. He was a graduate of Fayette County High School and served in the United States Army. Herbert was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Kennedy, Alabama.
