Herman Hayes, age 81, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 NMMC in Tupelo, MS.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 11:00am from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Sulligent City Cemetery.  Bro. Edward Puckett to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 10:30am until 11:00am.

Herman was born on July 14, 1944 in Lamar County, AL to the late Clifton Hayes and the late Flossie Eldridge Hayes.  He was a 1964 graduate of Sulligent High School, where he was All State Football. Herman proudly joined the U.S. Air Force and honorably served during Vietnam.  He was a self-employed Barber, which he retired from.  Over the years he enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as projects around the house to keep him busy.  His loving memory will always be cherished and greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
