Jack Earl Lowery, age 85, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, AL.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 11:00am from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Gilmer addition of the Sulligent City Cemetery. Bro. Stephen Sanderson and Bro. Jeff Chaffin to officiate the services. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 6pm until 8pm.

Mr. Jack Earl Lowery was born on October 24, 1939, in Sulligent, AL to the late Earl J. Lowery and the late Hattie Lou Guyton. He was a 1959 graduate of Sulligent High School. Mr. Lowery served in the Army National Guard for 39 1/2 years, before retiring. He retired from NACCO after 32 years. Mr. Lowery worked for Walker Mfg. in Aberdeen, MS for 8 years and for Lamar County Engineers. He was member of the Sulligent First Baptist Church and served as a deacon. Mr. Lowery enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
