Jady Allen Newman, age 83, of Northport, AL, formerly of Lamar County, AL passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Forest Manor Nursing Home in Northport, AL.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 1:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.  Bro. James Godsey to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 12:00pm until 1:00pm.

Jady was born on February 25, 1940 in Fayette Co., AL to the late Arnold Edwin Newman and the late Eunice Delores Otts Newman.  He was a 1960 graduate of Kennedy High School.  Jady was a Lamar County resident for most of his life.  He worked for Sanderson Plumbing in Columbus, MS for over 38 years.  He enjoyed collecting coins and was an avid reader.  He loved donating his books to the Tuscaloosa Library.  Jady was a member of Kennedy Church of God.
