James Hollis, age 70, of Sulligent, AL passed away Friday, August 6, 2021 at his residence. Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 2:00pm in the Otts Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Arnold Sheets and Bro. Mitch Price to officiate. Burial to follow in the Wofford Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Otts Funeral Home from 6:00pm until 8:30pm.

James was born on August 28, 1950 in Sulligent, AL to the late James O. "Johnny" Hollis and Mary Frances "Tootie" Harris Hollis. James graduated from Sulligent High School in 1968 as well as Johnson Community College. He was the president of Sulligent Lake. He was also a member of Freewill Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. He retired from BNSF Railroad after 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, quail hunting, and blowing up beaver dams.
