OBITUARY

Leon Howard, age 90, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the residence. Funeral services with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.  Bro. Glen Hughes to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Leon was born on January 29, 1933 in Millport, AL to the late John Howard and the late Bessie Griffin Howard.  He attended school in Kennedy, AL and later joined the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in the Korean War.  Leon retired from McCoy Manufacturing after 40 years of dedicated service.   He loved being outdoors, especially going fishing, gardening or working in his greenhouse.  He was a member of Bartahatchie Baptist Church.
