James L. Mastin, age 82, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Shiloh Cemetery.  Bro. Lorenzo Jones to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

James was born on December 9, 1941 in Huntsville, AL to the late Lesley Mastin and Maggie Lou Dill Mastin.  He lived in Huntsville until moving to Lamar County in 1965.  James previously worked as a logger and later worked at Walmart in Columbus, MS.  He thoroughly enjoyed doing any auto mechanic work.  James was a member of North Hillcrest Church of Christ in Aberdeen, MS.
