James "Mike" Harris Sr

Ecru – James "Mike" Harris Jr, 68, died surrounded by loved ones on April 27, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. He was born June 17, 1957, in Birmingham, Alabama, the son of James Frederick Harris Jr and Willodean Stallings.

Mike graduated from Fultondale High School, Class of 1975. Following graduation, he worked for several printing companies and served as a police officer in Warrior, Alabama, before finishing his working years doing what he loved: being an over-the-road truck driver. He was an avid fisherman and bowler. Some of his best memories were spent with his grandchildren, family, and family friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, James and Willodean. He is survived by his wife, Melanie Harris; his children, Michael (Amanda) Harris, Ashley (Travis) Clemons, and Tiffany (Jeff) Coleman, whom he shares with his former wife, Susie Williams; his grandchildren, Jordan, Christopher, Zoey, Isabell, Alyssa, Willo, Anna, and Noah; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Savanna Norton, Amanda Smith and Megan Bear.

In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
