Jerry David Jones, age 80, of Madison, AL, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025 in Madison, AL.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Sizemore Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Lynn Sizemore to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Jerry was born on January 26, 1945 in Vernon, AL to the late David E. "Bud" Jones and the late Ruby Guyton Jones.  He was a 1963 graduate of Lamar County High School.  Jerry retired from the Army Corp of Engineers and from AL Power with a lifelong career as an electrician.  He also honorably served and retired from the AL Army National Guard.  Jerry loved his country and his community and was actively involved in helping various organizations and groups, such as the Eufaula, AL Rescue Squad and coaching youth football for several years.  He was known to be a great storyteller and loved the fellowship of family and friends.  His legacy of honor and faithful service to his country and the unconditional love and dedication to his family will never be forgotten.  Jerry was a member of Prattville Church of Christ.

Katherine Earnst, Hannah Earnst (Marissa)

Great Grandchild: Kade Shephard
