Jerry N. Mays, age 74, of Vernon, AL passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at DCH in Tuscaloosa, AL.  Private family graveside services with Military Honors and burial will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 in Wofford Cemetery.  Bro. Brandon Phillips to officiate.

Jerry was born on November 3, 1947 in Walker Co., AL to the late Cordell Mays and the late Janice Harris.  He was a 1966 graduate of Carbon Hill High School.  Jerry retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a carrier.  He was a deacon and Sunday school teacher at his church.  Jerry enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson and working with his tractor and being outdoors.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Vernon, AL.
