Jerry Rasbury was born on May 13, 1948, in Gattman, Ms. to the late Coy Bradley Rasbury and the late Vernell Smith Rasbury. He was a 1966 graduate of Sulligent High School. If you knew Jerry, you knew he never met a stranger. He was the kind of man who could talk to anyone, remember everything about them, and make them feel seen. Jerry learned metal fabrication while serving in the Army and during his time in Vietnam– skills he carried with him for the rest of his life. Over the years, he worked on anything anybody brought him: mud trucks, classic cars, and even drag cars. If it had wheels and steel, Jerry could make it better. But what people talk about most isn't the work he did– it's the way he treated people. Jerry was the smiling face waiting at the church door every Sunday, asking about your kids, your mama, and anything else important in your life. He remembered the details because he genuinely cared.
He loved his family deeply, especially his grandchildren, who were the joy of his life. Jerry's kindness, humor, and big heart will be remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Most of all, Jerry loved his Lord
