Jimmy G. Mixon, age 86, of Helena, AL, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023 at his residence.  Funeral services with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.  Bro. Scott Stokes to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Jimmy was born on December 9, 1936 in Beaverton, AL to the late William Howard Mixon and the late Nettie Gann Mixon.  He was a 1956 graduate of Sulligent High School.  Jimmy retired after 37 years of his professional career service with AT&T and from his faithful military service with the Alabama Army National Guard.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and getting to spend any time outdoors.  He loved his grandchildren dearly and liked to take visits to the family house place.  His precious memory will always be cherished.
