Jimmy Dale Wilson, age 79, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at NMMC-Hamilton in Hamilton, AL.

Jim was born on March 29, 1946 in Springfield, MO to the late Herschell and the late Wilma Louise Wilson. Those who knew Jim, loved him. He was a proud trucker, avid outdoorsman, father, husband, grandfather and friend. He was also known as S.O.B. (Sweet Ole Boy) by those who had the opportunity to drive and work along beside him. He was quick to share a story or tell a joke, and you couldn't help but smile and share a laugh wherever he was. He loved his family and would help in any way he could.

He is preceded in death by his wives Lois Wilson and Marie Wilson, his parents, his siblings Richard Wilson, Diane Smith and Jerry Wilson as well as his son Timothy Wilson. He is survived by his siblings, Cathy Andrus, Johnny Wilson, Lynn Wilson, Lisa McNally, his kids Bobby Wilson, Robbie Wilson, Mary Wilson, Tina Merchant, Robbie Ives, Destany Wilson, Cory Wilson, Tammy Burrows and many, many grandkids and great grandkids.

Jim did not wish for there to be funeral services and will have his remains placed beside his beloved wife Lois Wilson at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery on Shakerag Road. He will truly be missed by all those who had the privilege to know him.
