Joe Earl Glass, age 65, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Russellville Hospital in Russellville, AL.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Glass Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Joe was born on June 26, 1960 in Vernon, AL to the late Orange Glass and the late Mattie Moore Glass.  He attended Sulligent High School.  Joe was self-employed as a mechanic.  He enjoyed being outside, especially fishing and hunting and working on automobiles.  He truly loved people and was known to make a new friend everywhere he went, always smiling and treated people with true kindness.   Joe so very proud of his family, especially his nephews, which he adored.  His bright and outgoing personality, humble heart and kind spirit will forever be missed and truly cherished by all who loved and knew him.  Joe was a member of Rising Star Baptist Church.
