John Brown, Jr., age 83, of Beaverton, AL passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, AL.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 2:00pm at Taylor Springs Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in Taylor Springs Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

John was born on May 31, 1938 in Beaverton, AL to the late Odis Rex Brown and the late Ora Jane Black.  He attended school in Sulligent, AL and later moved to Moline, IL to look for work.  John retired from John Deere in East Moline, IL, where he worked for 18 years.  He also owned and operated a bar in East Moline, IL for 40 years.  John loved to meet new people and talk, and especially cherished his children.  He enjoyed swimming and watching football.
