John "Isaiah" Smith, age 39, of Vernon, AL, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 3:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Wofford Cemetery. Bro. Steven Ford and Bro. David Sullivan to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the LCHS Band of Gold, 8990 Hwy 18, Vernon, AL 35592.

Isaiah was born on February 18, 1984 in Columbus, MS to John J. Smith and Sarah Frances Pennington Smith. He was a 2002 graduate of Lamar County High School. Isaiah worked for Aberdeen Machine Works. He was an avid Tennessee fan and loved to watch his Volunteers play football. Isaiah loved his family dearly and cherished spending time with his children. He attended Unity Church in Detroit, AL.
