John W. Stockman, age 58, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Celebration Worship Center with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 1:00pm until service time at 2:00pm. Pastor James Godsey to officiate the services.

John William (Big John) Stockman was born on July 5, 1966 in Mississippi. Big John was born to the late Clayton Vaughn and Martha Elizabeth Green Stockman. He was a graduate of Lamar County High School and previously worked as a truck driver. John was blessed with 2 sons Jerry Clay and Matthew Lane. He was married to Barbara Cantrell Stockman until she passed in 2022. John loved his family, fishing, and Alabama football. He spent many days and nights on the Alabama Gulf Coast fishing with his scuz's, you rarely saw a time when he wasn't with Bam Bam, Chuck, or Rickey. So many memories made with them.
