Johnny Mack Brown, age 82, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, AL.  Funeral services with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel.  Bro. Steven Sanderson to officiate.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral services from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Johnny Mack was born on November 5, 1942 in Birmingham, AL to the late Aubrey Brown and the late Ruth Canant Brown.  He was a graduate of Ensley High School and soon after joined the U.S. Navy where he proudly served and earned medals including the Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.  Johnny Mack retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs in Birmingham, AL.  He enjoyed woodworking, watching History shows and was known to be an avid Alabama football fan.  He also had a love for the outdoors, especially fishing and golfing.  He was a faithful member of Sulligent First Baptist Church.  He was an honorable man who loved his community and his family and his kind heart and tender spirit will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
