Johnny Lee Egger, age 85, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025 at DCH in Northport, AL. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 12:00pm at Union Chapel Baptist Church with burial to follow in Prospects Cemetery. Bro. B.J. Mills to officiate. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the funeral service from 11:00am until 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Union Chapel Baptist Church building fund at P.O. Box 23 Hamilton, AL. 35570.

Johnny was born on January 19, 1940 in Sulligent, AL to the late Chester A. Egger and the late Addie Bell Strawbridge Egger. He was a graduate of Sulligent High School. Johnny retired from NACCO after many years of dedicated service. He loved his church and his role as a deacon which he faithfully served. Johnny was a farmer and enjoyed working his land, but everyone who knows Johnny knows spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren is what he cherished the most. His tender smile, bright spirit and very loving heart will always be remembered and greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. Johnny was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church.
