OBITUARY

Judge Junior Metcalfe, age 82, of Sulligent, AL, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Marion Regional Medical Center in Hamilton, AL.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 1:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the McKinney Family Cemetery in Sulligent, AL. Elder Steve Gunter to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00am until service time at 1:00pm.

Judge was born on May 8, 1941in Sulligent, AL to the late Rufus Metcalfe and the late Lethea Gunter Metcalfe.  He attended Old Moscow School.  Judge worked for several years as a Brick Mason, but his calling into the ministry was the profession he is most known for and the unwavering, faithful service to the Lord and his community.  He loved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing when he could.  Judge was a member of Rising Star Baptist Church.  His kind gentle spirit and loving heart will always be cherished by those who knew him.
